Mark Falvai seems to be the best handy man to have around in the house. He is one of the finalists of HGTV reality show named Canada's Handyman Challenge. Falvai's skills will be put to test against 11 other handymen as well as one handywoman of Canada.

The contestants of this reality show are given time bound challenges for each week, and the participants with the lowest score are eliminated from the competition. Mark is said to have the potential to be Canada's top handyman.

Falvai said that "One has to be innovative be in this competition and that is one of his strengths. The handyman further added that he always loved to add a tinge of glamour to his projects and has hoped that his creativity will give an edge as compared to the other contestants. Falvai has the knowledge of wiring, plumbing, painting and stucco. Mark's list of achievement includes remodeling every inch of his 1970s-era house.

The participants are given the same equipment for the project and the panel of celebrity judges including Mike Holmes, Scott McGillivray and Bryan Baeumler evaluate the project. The show will crown Canada's top handyman on 21st of February. Though this reality show was recorded in the last July, Mark does not want to reveal the potential winner.

During more stringent economic times, it may be necessary to space home improvements out over time. Prioritizing, therefore, becomes important. If walls and floors are involved, and as long as there isn't a critical, time-sensitive problem to be resolved, then of course it's best to prioritize based on the interplay of the two types of work. For instance, you wouldn't want to put down nice new wall-to-wall Empire carpet and then restructure some walls the following year, leaving carpet edges that no longer work. So as much as you can foresee, it's important to figure out the best sequence of steps for your home improvement vision. Talking with professionals, like at Empire Today, can be a good way to get some guidance. You might think common sense would be enough of a guide but not everyone may be aware of certain considerations. For example, a neighbor put down some great carpeting in their guest room, and then realized it would be so nice to paint the room. It was a do-it-yourself project and unfortunately, they weren't expert enough to really secure a drop cloth for the floor or to protect the newly stained molding-which wasn't getting painted. When they got ready to do their master suite, they sat down and thought everything out and this time did the painting first, which worked well for their particular plans.

Many parts of your kid's bedroom should help to enhance their creativity and play. The bedroom should also be safe for your children and provide a healthy environment.

These are the main considerations that you should think about when you renovate your child's room. These criteria are even applicable for when you install new flooring for the kid's bedroom, with the help of flooring companies like Empire Today.

If you want to brighten up the kid's room to spark their imagination, then you can choose colorful flooring. For example, you can pick bright colored carpets. There are even carpets available that have magnificent design patterns on them. If you're having a hard time picking a floor color or pattern, you can simply ask your child what they want. This will give them more ownership of the floor since they chose it, and they will be more apt to take care of it.

Ideally, flooring for kids should also be stain-resistant. Kids' bedrooms are more prone to spills and dirt, so stain-resistant flooring will make it easier to clean up. Also consider getting flooring from Empire Today that is good for the child's health. There are flooring options, such as some carpeting, which emit gases and chemicals that may be detrimental to the child's health. Opt for more natural flooring such as wood, or choose carpets that are made from natural fibers.
